Gild reads EPUB and PDF files. It keeps its own copy on this phone, so your place, bookmarks and highlights are saved even if the original file is moved or deleted.
You can also open a book from Files, Drive, email or your browser and choose Gild in the “Open with” or “Share” menu.

Auto alignment justifies text only when lines are long enough to space evenly, like a single page on a tablet or unfolded phone. Phone screens and narrow two-page spreads stay left-aligned so words don’t get big gaps between them. Hyphenation evens out line lengths in either.

Back up
Saves your reading positions, bookmarks, highlights, notes, book details and settings to one file you keep, for a new phone or a fresh install. The file isn’t encrypted, so anyone who has it can read your notes: keep it somewhere private.
Restore
Adds books from the backup that aren’t in Gild yet, and brings back positions, bookmarks and highlights for the ones that are. Nothing in your library is deleted.
